   Ofsted Report 2026

The inspection found that Launcelot Primary School and Nursery is meeting the expected standard in most areas, including attendance and behaviour, early years, inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development and wellbeing.  Importantly, safeguarding standards were met, meaning we have established an open culture in which safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and pupils are made safer and feel safe.

We are particularly proud that inspectors recognised:

  • How well pupils behave and the respect they show for their classmates
  • The positive impact of our 'language ambassador' programme in helping new pupils settle quickly
  • How well our early years provision prepares children for Year 1
  • Our thoughtfully designed personal development programme and the opportunities we provide for all pupils to broaden their talents
  • The impact of our work on improving attendance

Since the visit, we have been working hard on the areas identified for improvement and progress is already evident. We have a strong plan in place for the year ahead and look forward to seeing continuous improvements.
